Since 2012 Koolhaas started to fold her photographs into three dimensional forms, whereby she turns surfaces into recreations, stages or 'crops'. In these sculptures, the viewer is invited into a simulation of reality to experience what it is like to walk through the cities she photographs. 

To coincide with the launch of the book CITY LUST, a retrospective of Koolhaas’ photographic sculptures were exhibited in OMI gallery, Rotterdam.
